When Castilyn was in his 20's according to the police affidavit and court records he raped a 12 year old girl and threatened to kill her if she told. He was arrested and convicted. He currently runs fake news pages across many platforms but got his start spreading rumor and lies on Facebook under the page "Butler News" which boasts 17k fake followers. Why does this website and the Facebook group "Butler News Now About Justin Castilyn" exist and why is it important that people know the character of the person claiming to be "news".
It's important because the founder of butler news destroys lives for clicks. He encourages mob mentality in the comments of his sensationilized stories that are many times full of lies/ and purported hersey with zero credibility or proof.
The people he attacks in his posts are also many times "alleged" and I will remind everyone innocent until proven guilty. What he does should be a crime. Hell i personally think that other news sources, print or video should also not be able to display people's alleged crimes as well until proven guilty but that's a different topic.
Butler News does not post truth, and hides behind the keyboard. He takes advantage of the jurisdictions and lack of will to form a case regarding social media. There are criminal harassment and disorderly conduct charges that could be pressed in many cases, in my opinion, but without persistence will not be taken seriously because it is alot of work and time and resources for the courts for the strained already court system.
Some of you may laugh at his posts, but you could be the next one very easily that he decides to go after and lie and make exaggerated unfounded claims about. If not you then a friend, a parent, a child, even the dead are not safe from him trying to make a buck off of others pain, mistakes, and many times false allegations.
So it is profoundly important that others know, that a convicted thief, a liar, a sexual abuser of a very young child and other crimes cannot be trusted to be telling the truth. Ever. Especially when there's motive for profit and gain.
I think more people than ever are waking up to this, and that is why this group exists, mainly to help in reducing the lasting damage Justin can do to future victims of his bully page he calls "Butler News".
Be brave, there's always personal risk involved the truth and doing what's right but someone has to stand up and speak out for the rights of those that can't or unable to defend themselves. You may get attacked and banned and blocked and silenced on "Butler News", but you have a voice and the chance to defend yourself here. Thanks for keeping the truth in motion.
